It all started on June 12, as the first Alaska Airlines flight landed in New Orleans.
"We're pleased to make it extra easy to get to the Big Easy, especially for travelers in the Seattle area and the Pacific Northwest," said Joe Sprague, senior vice president of communications and external relations. "New Orleans' rich cultural heritage, fascinating history, food, festivals, arts and accessible nature make it an appealing destination for anyone with a sense of adventure."
New Orleans is known for Mardi Gras, the French Quarter, great food and jazz.
Now, Alaska Airlines is the only airline offering nonstop service between Seattle and New Orleans. The flights will operate daily and year-round, since it is always a good time to head down to Louisiana.
