Al Gore takes global crisis message to SiriusXM listeners

SiriusXM Radio announced today that former Vice President Al Gore will be the featured guest on an upcoming installment of SiriusXM's "Town Hall" series.

SiriusXM describes the series as; "Intimate gatherings with iconic leaders, newsmakers and entertainers, sitting down with a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners.

During the hour long special Gore will take a variety of questions from the audience and discuss his new book, The Future: Six Drivers of Global Change, his Nobel Peace Prize-winning efforts to inform the world of the dangers posed by climate change and his time serving as the forty-fifth Vice President of the United States. The special will be hosted by Ari Rabin-Havt, host of SiriusXM's The Agenda. Ari is also a leading voice in progressive politics.

SiriusXM's "Town Hall with Al Gore" will take place at SiriusXM's New York City studios and air on Thursday, February 28 at 9:00 pm ET on progressive talk channel SiriusXM Left, channel 127.

Encore presentations will air on:

  • March 2 at 1:00pm, March 2 at 8:00pm, March 3 at 4:00pm and 9:00pm on SiriusXM Left
  • March 4 at 3:00pm, March 7 at 10:00pm and March 9 at 8:00pm on Sirius Book Radio, channel 80
  • March 2 at 10:00am, 4:00pm and 10:00pm and March 5 at 5:00pm and 10:00pm on non-partisan political talk channel SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S., channel 124. (NOTE: All times ET).

Al Gore spends the majority of his time as chairman of The Climate Reality Project, a non-profit focused on solutions to the climate crisis. He is the author of the bestsellers Earth in the Balance, An Inconvenient Truth, The Assault on Reason, and Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis. He is the subject of the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth and is the co-recipient, with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
