Christopher Drumming of Union Street in Aiken, S.C. faces animal cruelty charges after an officer from the Aiken Department of Public Safety stated Drumming was a passenger in a car heading towards Hampton Ave. on Thursday holding a puppy out of the window.
According to the Aiken Standard, the officer was behind the Honda Accord as Drumming appeared "to hang half of his body (the puppy) out the window."
As the officer continued to follow the vehicle, the dog's entire body was seen hanging out of the window as Drumming held the puppy by its neck.
Drumming denied the charges and said he was just moving the dog out of the way as he repositioned a bag in the front seat of the vehicle. He denied holding the puppy by its neck.
The tiny blue-nosed pit bull pup is now with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals until a judge decides his fate.
