Having an actor on the school board is an experience not all cities can lay claim to, but it's now the case in Albuquerque, N.M. “Breaking Bad” actor Steven Michael Quezada, who plays Steven Gomez on the show, has just won a seat on the local school board. Fox News shared the details on Feb. 5.
Quezada was unopposed in Tuesday's school board election for District 5. There was no incumbent for the spot, and nobody else wanted to lay claim to the opening. “Breaking Bad” is filmed in Albuquerque, and Steven Michael Quezada has four children in the district's Public Academy for the Performing Arts. Steven has been active with the school, and now the actor is on the school board for the district as a whole.
Quezada was born and bred in Albuquerque, according to the star's IMDb page. Fans have enjoyed him during his time on “Breaking Bad,” and many think it's intriguing that he is becoming so involved in his hometown's educational system. Congratulations to the actor for his school board position!
