Over the span of less than a month, a dog named "Miley," has enjoyed a dramatic turn around in her life thanks to Eldad Hagar and the non-profit rescue organization, Hope for Paws.
Prior to being rescued, Miley's life consisted of a miserable existence in a trash pile on the outskirts of Los Angeles, Calif.
The dog, who is believed to have been abandoned by her owners, was clearly struggling just to survive...she was thin and her body was covered in painful, infected wounds from long-untreated mange.
When Hagar first approached Miley, it was painfully clear that she was defeated and had almost given up hope...when approached, she did not stand, but gratefully accepted small morsels of food which were offered to help gain her trust.
With the help of gentle coaxing, and a good deal of patience, Miley's rescuers were eventually able to put a leash around her thin neck and lead her to a vehicle which was waiting to whisk her away to a veterinarian for much needed care.
Miley's recovery was slow - her time of surviving on her own had taken its toll, but things took a beautiful turn for the better when Miley was introduced to another dog who had also been rescued.
The other dog, named "Frankie," seemed to melt Miley's heart; the pair quickly became fast friends.
The video of Miley's rescue, along with her endearing friendship with Frankie, was put on Facebook just two days ago; already it has been shared far and wide by publications and individuals alike.
