If you were Ryan Lochte, you would have had a really good time in Las Vegas this weekend. He did what this Examiner likes to do: milk that birthday and make it last as long as possible. Lochte, who was born Aug. 3, celebrated his 29th birthday both on the Strip and downtown Las Vegas beginning Thurs., Aug. 15, and wrapping it up on Sun., Aug. 18.
Lochte certainly didn’t tread water in Vegas. He was a busy boy. Lochte and friends were at Tao Beach, Tao Asian Bistro and Nightclub, Lavo Italian Restaurant and Nightclub, She by Morton’s, the D and the Azure Pool at the Palazzo. Check out the slideshow and video to see what Ryan Lochte did do.
Earlier this year, when Kathie Lee and Hoda asked Lochte about the party-boy part of his personality, Lochte told the talk-show hosts, “...I’m living life. I was always told growing up, I mean, if you’re gonna be a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning meaning if you’re gonna go out and beat your body up—drink, dance, stay up late—you...still have a job to do and you have goals that you still you need accomplished. No matter what the circumstance is I’m waking up and I’m goin’ to the pool and I’m putting 110 percent effort into it."
Kathie Lee's response: “Going to the pool to train and going to the pool in Vegas are two very different things aren’t they, Ryan Lochte?”
