Wonderful Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped cream cheese
  • 2 cups of whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Chill a mixing bowl and beaters for 30 minutes in the refrigerator before preparing this favorite frosting recipe.

Combine the cream cheese and whipped cream in the pre-chilled mixing bowl. Beat well with an electric mixer until it becomes thick and fluffy.

Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and continue beating the mixture. The frosting is ready when it begins forming peaks that stand on their own.

Wonderful Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting requires refrigeration before and between servings.

Frost your cake or cookies.

Use a rubber spatula to spread your choice of glaze or frosting gently on your freshly baked and cooled cakes or pastries. Create swirls and textures, if desired, or use a pastry bag to decorate with more detail.

For added interest, consider using fruit preserves or a different frosting flavor for the middle of a two-layer cake.

Note: Unless the recipe specifies otherwise, the best results come from frosting fully cooled cakes, cupcakes, or cookies immediately after making frosting. However, some recipes do call for well-chilled toppings.
