343 Industries: All Halo 4 Specialization unlock codes have been sent

Microsoft began to send out the Specialization unlock codes Friday night for people that played Halo 4 on the Xbox 360 by Nov. 20. On Saturday, 343 Industries said that all of the emails containing the codes have been sent out and provided some reasons for those that may have not received it yet.

"Codes giving early access to six Specializations were sent yesterday. I’m currently following up with that team to find out if all the emails have been sent (UPDATE: All emails have been sent)," 343 Industries community manager Jessica Shea wrote in the Halo Waypoint forums. After a mixup, she did admit that the emails were sent to people regardless of whether they opted out of marketing emails or not.

We've heard some reports from people that did not receive the email titled "You have a gift from Xbox LIVE," and Shea has provided the following reasons why you may have not received it.

  • If you did not play Halo prior to November 20 at 11:59 PM EST, you would have not received the email.
  • If you are registered with Xbox LIVE in Europe, the Middle East or Africa, you would have not received the email. As noted on the original offer, these regions were not part of the Specializations offer as Specializations were offered as a pre-order offer, not a post-launch offer.

Additionally, she suggests checking your spam folder and also making sure you are looking at the email account that is associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

Remember that while all of the Specializations are unlocked, you won't gain access to the until you reach Service Rank 50.

If you still can't find the "You have a gift from Xbox LIVE" in the email account associated with your Xbox LIVE account, we suggest contacting Xbox support on Twitter (@XboxSupport) or through the Xbox website
