Tonight, the 2013-14 BCS National Championship Game takes place in Pasadena, California as the No. 1 Florida State Seminoles take on the No. 2 Auburn Tigers. Kick-off is slated at 8 p.m. on ESPN. As of this morning, Covers.com has FSU as a 10.5 favorite with the over/under set at 68. With that said, here are some facts and figures regarding the BCS National Championship Game.
This will mark Florida State’s fourth appearance in the game (1-2) while this is Auburn’s second trip (1-0).
Along with FSU, the Oklahoma Sooners had appeared in the game four times. The Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes had three appearances.
Along with Auburn, the Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes, Texas Longhorns, and USC Trojans have gone to the dance twice.
The Tennessee Volunteers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon Ducks and Virginia Tech Hokies have all appeared one time.
In terms of conferences, the SEC in 9-1 in BCS National Championship Game, which is good for the top spot. Here are the rest of the conference records:

Finally, this is the fourth time the game has been played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The winners in those three games are Miami (2001), Texas (2004) and Alabama (2009).
