The newest track on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule is Kentucky Speedway, located in Sprata, Kentucky near Lexington. The 1.5-mile tri-oval opened in 2000 and also hosts NASCAR’s Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, plus the ARCA Racing Series; in the past, it also hosted the IZOD IndyCar Series and the Firestone Indy Lights Series. Owned by Bruton Smith and Speedway Motorsports, Inc., Kentucky Speedway seats more than 100,000 spectators.
The 2013 schedule includes two main race weekends: June 27th through 29th featuring the top three NASCAR Series – Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series – and September 20th and 21st, featuring the ARCA Racing Series and Nationwide Series. The track also hosts driving schools throughout the spring, summer, and fall, and hosts the US Legend Cars Series.
Season ticket plans are on sale now for the two NASCAR weekends at kentuckyspeedway.com; season ticket plans include all five races on the schedule and start at $179.
