Brooklyn Decker was born on April 12, 1987, in Kettering, Ohio. Her family moved to the Charlotte, North Carolina area when Brooklyn was little, and she was raised in North Carolina.

Brooklyn Decker is not named for the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. She is actually named for a horse that a friend of her mother owned. The horse's name was Brooke, and after her mother suggested the name, her father suggested Brooklyn as a more formal version.

Whether that is true or just another horse story, who knows? Would you rather be named after a place or a horse? In any event, Brooklyn Decker does reside in Brooklyn, New York part-time these days.

Brooklyn Decker was discovered as a model when she was a teenager at a Charlotte area shopping mall, and she quickly became the face of prom dress maker Mauri Simone. Brooklyn's career really took off after she moved to New York City in 2005 and auditioned to be a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.

In 2011, Brooklyn Decker made her feature film debut in "Just Go With It", alongside of Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Brooklyn admitted she was intimidated by Jennifer Aniston's perfect body, but I'd take Brooklyn any day.

An avid sports fan, Brooklyn Decker roots for the Carolina Panthers and the North Carolina Tar Heels. In 2009, Brooklyn Decker married tennis pro Andy Roddick, who won the U.S. Open in 2003.
