With a wedding date of 12-12-12, the last sequential date of the century, the regularly busy Las Vegas wedding industry got an extra boost. According to the Las Vegas City Hall Records Department representative, Cheryl, " There were 432 wedding license applications on 12-12-12. If you include the two days prior to 12-12 and total the wedding license applications, we had a total of 1,656 wedding licenses issued over three days."
The Las Vegas sign was one of the major hot spots for brides and grooms to include in their Las Vegas photo album and a large number of those posing for pictures were from other countries.
The Little Church of the West , established in 1942, is on the national registry of historic places. This wedding chapel has drawn celebrity weddings from Cindy Crawford, Richard Gere, Angelina Jolie, Billy Bob Thorton as well as serviced iconic start such as Betty Gable, Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney.
Although not willing to give us an exact count of the weddings scheduled for 12-12, The Little Church of the West wedding coordinators said, "We're hoping it goes to the triple digits."

At the world-famous Welcome to Las Vegas Sign,professional photographers were offering their services and an impersonating "Elvis" was available for hire. The parking lot was filled with a steady stream of cars, big buses, and packed with limos from morning till the end of the day.
