Fall fashion Paris 2012… The clothes shown in these last days of Collection will be in store for Fall 2012 or in lay terms, these garments will be hitting the racks around mid-June thru September for fall selling and wearing....that is to say provided we don’t have Indian summer until November. So no matter where you shop, be it Barneys, Bergdorf’s, Bloomingdales, Saks, Jeffrey, H&M, Zara or eponymous boutiques or for that matter anywhere else, you will either be seeing these exact items or be feeling their influence.
When one thinks of Hermes, one conjures up Birkins, scarves, shoes, equestrian apparel, belts and all things that are timeless when it comes to fashion. Menswear for Hermes, for many years was all about their little “neat” ties and their status yet classic shoes and over the years the brand has evolved into to a major power house for fashion as well as status items. What’s has never changed is that Hermes does not scream, it whispers and it speaks a language that very few understand and fewer that are fluent.
Keeping all this in mind, Hermes does not have to follow a trend nor do they strive for a mass appeal. It is with that in mind that the menswear of this brand is exquisitely made of the finest fabrics and of course the most costly of leathers and skins. Yes, there is a small degree that focuses on a younger customer but that is far more for affect than obligation. After all, imagine the cost of those croco pieces or for that matter even a leather coat, let alone a suit!
There is absolutely no question that Hermes is at the top of the aspirational heap when it comes to status and quality. The reason being that with minute exception, anything you buy from Hermes is forever and that includes fashion. To wit, Fall 2012, I’m in!
