San Francisco's annual Blessing of the Taxi Drivers was held today outside of St. Boniface church in the Tenderloin.
The annual blessing day, which coincides with the feast day of St. Fiacre, patron saint of taxi drivers, is a reminder of the risks that taxi drivers face on the job.
Twenty-six drivers have been killed on the job since 1947, according to Taxis-SF. That's just over one death every two years.
