Sources have told The Examiner that the sergeant is accused of exposing himself to a female EMS worker at the Engine 8 firehouse after she asked him for overtime.
"The D.C. Fire & EMS Department will never, ever tolerate this kind of behavior from any of its members," Rubin said in a statement issued Monday.
Rubin said the sergeant resigned over the weekend after Rubin learned of the allegations and placed him on administrative leave.
