Well before anyone pass judgement on Claudia Cabrera and what she did, They should look to see if it could had been them behind the wheel. Red lights, stop signs, rules of the road mean NOTHING!!!! in Los Angeles and especially around USC. The Los Angeles Police do NOTHING!!! around the campus to enforce traffic laws. As a result, Angeleno's feel they are immune to arrest and prosecution. I read the comments saying that this could have happened anywere. Not so. Other communites like Fullerton, Glendora, Simi, enforce their traffic laws. One of the victims was from Arizona. Arizona Highway Patrol is one of the most aggressive and effective agencies on the highways anywhere. You can''t say that about LAPD or the CHP. USC students, faculty, alumni staff and most especially PARENTS have been too quiet too long about the lack of LAPD enforcement in the area. We all need to speak up to President Sample and to Police Chief Bratton and god help us the Mayor for enforc

This world is so messed up with many messed up people in it. God help Haroon's family insahllah. Inshallah jena is in store for him. i give my condolences to the family of Haroon.

I know the Zoellick family. In the article it says that the parents new he had anger problems and were trying to get him help. I hardly believe they actually were trying to get him help. His mother used to tell people what a responsible kid he was. She even had him babysitting for special needs children. She never told the parents of the children about his violent tendencies. Everytime I read an article about how they tried to help Travis and that he was a good kid it makes me sick. I feel betrayed and disgusted by Tammy. I think her and her husband should just keep their mouths shut about their "good" kid. They are only making things worse by trying to sound like victims. The only victims here are Haroon Kahn and his family.

I'm sad for the Family of Haroon we pray for you. He was a very caring person who we will miss.

Now if only 1 suicide and 2 life sentences can bring back the life of Haroon Khan!?!?!?! It is difficult for me to sympathize for the killers parents, i do feel bad for them, but there is NO excuse that would explain why your son would go and end up killing someone else's son. This obviously showed that you did not try hard enough to solve the problem !!!

What about negligent parenting. A parent's responsibility should not end in ensuring our children are safe, not only physically, but emotionally. It seems this family felt otherwise. Haroon Khan's life was taken horrifically; with complete and utter disregard. All because of a car? Interestingly, the parent's of Zoellick have nothing more to say than that they were aware of his anger issues and had tried to get him help? Were they helping to enforce the terms of his probation? Or were they too busy enlisting high priced lawyers to soften the blows of his natural consequences. It's a little to late to care now, isn't it...

travis..was my friend.I saw that he had issues, i always tried to talk to him. I never thought he was capable of somthing like this! I am angry in so many ways and sad in so many also.I pray for the victoms family, but also for travis and his.

Haroon danced at my daughter's wedding. He was my new son in law's roommate for three years while he lived in Kentucky and went to the University. I feel so deeply sadded that a bright beautiful young man was murdered without remorse. What can you say to his family to bring comfort? We can only pray and pray and pray for all involved. Love and Peace to his family.

Inman was my ex wife's brother . I had let him live with us before, Hes a sick individual and needs to die or never get out, He has no remorse

Travis Zoellick, I believe, got exactly what he had coming. I would have rather seen him go to prison for life and suffer, but I think the worlds better off without peices of crap like Travis Zoellick.

I think Tammy Lafave should most definately, without a doubt get life foe assisting in the murder of Haroon Khan. She had multiple opportunities to stop the murder and she chose not to. I wish we had the death penalty!!!!

For all of you who say the officer is not justified or that he is a coward or that he could have used an alternate use of force. SHAME ON YOU !! If you only knew what Police Officers have to deal with on a day to day basis. I challenge any one of you to pick up the uniform put it on and do his/her job, let someone hit you in the head with a baseball bat from behind and see what it feels like. I guarantee you, you will think someone is trying to kill you. All the details are not out yet but it seems to me the 17 year old boy wanted to attempt to take away a man's life. Glad the POLICE OFFICER is alright and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Yeah. Seems pretty balanced. Someone comes at you with a bat, and you pull out a gun. Must be a pretty pathetic officer if they can't handle someone with a bat. What is SOOOOOOOOOOOO sad is that our officers, charged with the job of serving and protecting are the first to pull out a gun and kill anyone who poses even the slightest threat. Lame.

My wife and I saw this and were Soooooooo saddened to realize that suuuuch a wonderful young lady had met suuuuch a horrible and MOST untimely death. We extend our MOST heart felt sympathies to her mother and father and any siblings and other family members and to her "family" at UNC. We all have lost a most wonderful and promising lovely young lady. Soooooooooooo SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
