Article History BURLINGAME (Map, News) - A woman threatening to shoot a teller was the most recent bank robber in the city, which has seen three heists in a week’s time.
The most recent incident occurred Tuesday when a woman walked into the U.S. Bank branch on 1188 El Camino Real at 12:45 p.m. and briefly waited in line, police said. She then approached an available teller, placed her purse on the counter, put her hand inside her purse and simulated that she had a gun, witnesses told police.
The woman then demanded that the teller give her money, and threatened to shoot if the teller did not comply, police said.
“She just kind of said, ‘Hey give me all your money and if you don’t, I’m going to shoot you,’” said police Cmdr. Mike Matteucci.
No gun was actually seen at any point, however, and no one was hurt, Matteucci said. She fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, he said.
The black woman is described as being in her 30s, standing 5-feet 5-inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. She had short black hair and wore a white hat, white T-shirt and light gray pants.
Police are treating the other two robberies as being unrelated, Matteucci said.
A black man wearing a black motorcycle helmet, fake gray beard, camouflage jacket and an orange T-shirt robbed the Operation Engineers Credit Union on Friday, police said.
A white man wearing a long black wig, dark sunglasses and a blue collared shirt robbed a Union Bank on May 6, police said.
The bank’s staff declined to comment on the incident after it reopened around 3:45 p.m., but the branch manager said it had not been robbed in her three years there.

It's a miracle no innocent person has injured or worse. These bank robbing terrorists have nothing to lose. The Bay area is not alone, to view rest of country pull-up www.bank211s-mike.blogspot.com and/or www.scorpio-security.com The real question is: What are the Banks doing to protect customers & employees, they only call cops AFTER the robbery.
