This week’s feature is a delicious yoga pose that will assist you with last week’s focus: letting go. 25 days ago- Welcome back to the 11th week of our On-the-Go series! We’re almost at the end of this series (one yoga pose to go), and we’ve come a long way in exploring living life with tranquility while being constantly on the go. Life is full, we’re overly busy, yet we’re continually searching for some happiness along the way. To assist with finding this joy, we began this series by exploring setting intentions to expressing gratitude, and now it’s all about letting go. Being able to surrender attachment to the way things should be is one of the most powerful lessons out there for assisting us on our journey to joy.
32 days ago- Welcome back to the 10th week of our On-the-Go series! This week’s focus is a yummy yoga pose that is perfect for calming the mind and cooling the nervous system. I like to think of this pose as a way to express gratitude by bowing forward and surrendering. At the beginning of a yoga practice or even your workday, bring to mind a person whom you are grateful for — someone who has had a powerful impact on your life. Allow the efforts you put forth to be a way to honor that person. This simple act is a generous reminder of our interconnectedness to one another and allows our everyday actions to be a way to express gratitude to another being.
46 days ago- Welcome back to the eighth week of our On-the-Go series! This week we’ll explore a strength-building pose that assists with gaining the courage to make those small steps toward the life you desire. Dolphin pose is an amazing prep for headstand — a scary pose for many yoga practitioners — and incorporates the many qualities we need to begin making changes in our own life. Follow along as I explore this empowering pose and how it relates to daily life.
53 days ago- Welcome back to the seventh week of our On-the-Go series! I hope you’ve been standing tall and embodying mountain-like qualities thanks to last week’s focus on the must-have staple yoga pose: mountain. This week’s dose is a reminder to continue standing tall by doing something regularly that takes you out of your comfort zone. Treading unknown territory offers new experiences and allows you to keep growing. Without taking risks, life becomes overly comfortable, and we can become complacent.
102 days ago- Welcome back to the fourth week of our On-the-Go series! I hope last week’s reminder to breathe, get moving and regroup helped you discover a sense of inner balance. This week’s dose is a yoga pose that is easily done while dashing around town to bring you back into balance — literally.
109 days ago- Welcome back to the third week of our On-the-Go series! Today’s tip is on staying in balance despite all the curveballs life throws your way. Just as the practice of yoga teaches us how to balance with grace in awkward poses, it is important to find a similar balance in life. Below are three simple ideas to return to balance when feeling discombobulated:
116 days ago- Welcome back to the second week of our On-the-Go series! I hope you’ve enjoyed playing with intention setting in your everyday life. Today’s tip assists setting an intention by stopping, sitting and being with your breath. Taking the time to move out of your head and into your body is powerful. As we continue to explore our practice of healthy living, I want to encourage you to spend time “being” rather than always “doing.” No easy task, I know!
123 days ago- Welcome to spring and the first week of our new On-the-Go series! Over the next 12 weeks we will explore 12 tranquil tips to help you bloom fully this spring. Our first tip is to set an intention — at the beginning of your day, the start of a project or before a meeting. Intention is a fancy way of saying “a purpose or plan that aligns with your values.” You may even create a ritual around intention setting by lighting a candle, taking a few deep breaths, or closing your eyes for moments of reflection to feel what is going on within your body.
130 days ago- Welcome back to our final week of the New Year, New You series! I hope you’ve been able to incorporate some of our tips from the past few months — the power of writing things down, finding tranquility in nature, the joy of adding creative flair to your everyday. Remember, growth is about putting one foot in front of the other, even when you’d rather crawl back into bed. And sometimes, the best thing to do is to do nothing! Therefore, our final tip entails surrendering and completely letting go through relaxation (called savasana in yoga). This is truly one of the hardest yoga poses to master.
144 days ago- Welcome back to our seventh week of the New Year, New You series! We’ve come a long way together so far this year. Despite the chill, it’s always a treat to get outside and bask in nature. March promises a respite from winter and nature begins to bloom with vibrancy. As the outside world opens with color, it’s a time for us to also blossom with what has been lying dormant — germinating below the surface. Below are some ideas to ensure you get outside and connect with all that is blossoming around you:
