Police say woman brandished knife at officers

They not only saved Butte College from serious and devastating destruction, but they protected the communities we all live in. Without their great efforts many more people would not have homes to return to, and much of our campus would not be available for providing an education to those in our community. A wildfire threatening thousands of homes in Southern California spread slowly through scenic canyonlands Saturday, straining resources as crews struggled to contain hundreds of other blazes around the state. Oil companies once viewed drilling in the deep waters off Florida as cost prohibitive. Politicians feared even the slightest sign of support would be career suicide. "Crocodile Dundee" star Paul Hogan challenged Australian tax authorities Friday to track him down in the United States after a newspaper report that he was under investigation for tax evasion. |
