Do you wish that you could relive all the fun you had at your high school proms? Did you hate (or skip) your proms and wish you could have a do-over, but with an entertaining undead twist?
You’re in luck. The Philly Zombie Prom is just around the corner. The walking dead, or in this case dancing dead, will converge on the Trocadero at 1003 Arch Street on Sept. 27. The event only costs $7 and don’t forget your ID because it’s a 21+ event.
The Zombie Prom is organized by the same people who do the Zombie Crawl on South Street every year on Easter. Like the Crawl, you can get your makeup done at the event by makeup artists who work for Terror Behind the Walls. If you’re a little hesitant about dressing up like a zombie, the Web site can point you in the right direction. It has suggestions for how to do your own makeup, which they recommend so you don’t have to stand it line. It also offers places to buy a dress or suit, as well as discount offers.
No matter what kind of music you’re into, the Prom won’t disappoint. If you want to dance there will be a few DJs to help you get your Thriller on. If you want to rock, Live Not On Evil and The Young Werewolves will be happy to oblige.
So come out and support a local zombie event and have a great time in the process. Just remember it’s on a Sunday, so if you have too much fun you might really feel like a zombie the next day.
