Zombie roleplaying games: The complete list

All Flesh Must Be Eaten by Eden Studios

Several roleplaying games have entered the market over the years attempting to capture the "zombie genre" and turn it into a fun, playable game for the pen-and-paper RPG crowd.  But as zombies have evolved to encompass more than just mind-numbing horror (and occasional societal commentary by the likes of George Romero), zombie roleplaying games have also expanded their vision and learned to capture specific niches within the gaming community.

All Flesh Must Be Eaten, by Eden Studios, attempts to be the most "all-encompassing" of the zombie-themed RPGs, and is supported by a steady stream of supplements offering new types of zombies, new settings for the zombies to chomp brains in (such as sci-fi or dungeon-crawl fantasy), and much, much more.  But what about zombie comedy games?  Or zombie romance games?  Short-term "one-offs" or long-term campaign play?  Well, now you can find all of that, and there's a resource specifically geared for whatever you want.  Normally, you'd just have to dig for it.

In order to best compile the many sources of zombie roleplaying goodness, here's a list of brain-chewing roleplaying games and the associated links to find 'em, buy 'em, or read reviews about 'em in order to get the one that best matches your needs.  If I've missed any, feel free to comment and let people know!

Please note that zombies in general are scary, so some of the links here may not be safe for work (or generally any sense of positive adjustment in normal society).

And here are some free ones for the cheapskates among you, or the folks just now delving into the nerdery that is pen-and-paper roleplaying games and unsure of where to put their hard-earned cash:
