Merlyn is an ordained Zen Buddhist priest and has been practicing Zen, and Pureland Buddhism for more than 20 years. He has lived his life as lay Buddhist and now as a teacher to society for many years now. He is the founder of the Shikata Zen Center and Homestead and the senior member of the Shikata Zen Sangha.
