As it's only natural to sit down with 'Entertainment Tonight' after announcing a semi-split, Hailey Glassman and Jon Gosselin felt it was time to air their differences with Mary Hart in an emotional interview. The segment, which is a three-part interview set to conclude tomorrow night on 'ET,' features the estranged couple as they discuss why they split, how Glassman wants Gosselin to be friends with Kate, and how he needs to think about his children. As you might expect, lots of details were revealed - some of which Gosselin was not pleased with. What did he expect?
Gosselin allowed Glassman to have her own face time with the cameras, but when talked turned to Kate and his children, he quickly moved in closer. As Glassman tells it, "I tell him for his children, you need to be friends. I don't think you should be split up on Thanksgiving. I don't think you should share time on birthdays." She says she has encouraged him to be friends with Kate for the sake of their kids, which forces Jon to reply, "I want to ask for a second chance. I want to apologize to Kate, in person. I just need to start over from ground zero: Be trustworthy, honest, have a good moral compass and do the right thing."
When the two began to speak about their future apart, Glassman said it's difficult to leave Gosselin. "It's hard, because when I do [try to leave], he cries. As hard as it is for us, he needs to go handle his stuff, be with his family and handle his divorce, and I need to go and be a 22-year-old and get my life back." Jon admitted she probably should want a break from him and that he feels tremendous guilt for emotionally abusing her, as she believes he does.
It's then that the conversation begins to unravel, much like their relationship. Glassman calls Gosselin on his constant claim that he wants to change and be a better person. "Everything's easier said than done. Even when I'm sitting in this interview and I hear you talk, saying that you're gonna be more honest and loyal, I roll my eyes like the rest of the world. I wanna see it!" Gosselin gets upset and retaliates with this classic statement: "I wanted to discuss this in private, but now it's public. I'm getting frustrated, because it's uncomfortable. This whole thing's uncomfortable. I don't like it. I mean, you're telling me out there that you love me and you want to be with me, and then you..." Yes, Jon, it's public because you chose to do this on national television. Kind of like that reality show you said you hated but appeared on for years?
The interview comes to a screeching halt when Glassman begins to address Gosselin's children and how his behavior is affecting them. "I constantly would tell him, 'Don't you wanna be a more honest person, for your children? Not for me, not to get validated by the public, but for your children?' Don't you want them to look up to you and say, 'My daddy's honest'?" Ouch. She's got a point, however. Gosselin's oldest kids are old enough to navigate the Web on their own and are surely not immune to schoolyard gossip. It must be incredibly hard on them to hear about what their father, and to be fair, their mother, are doing. This hits Gosselin hard as he leaves the room.
Of course, 'ET' leaves you dangling and entices you to "tune in tomorrow" to see if the couple break-up, which we already know happened. It seems that Glassman is now trying to repair her image and make it look as though she is not the homewrecker that people have made her out to be, and that she has been trying to get Gosselin to own up to his behavior and think of his children. Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't. One thing is for sure: If Glassman really wants to improve her image, it's time to step away from Gosselin once and for all. He isn't going to help her career at all.

Jon and bimbo #3 or whatever need to shut up and realize their 15 minutes have been up for a while. The jig is up losers, Get jobs. No one is interested in your big fat fake dramas. And television needs to find a new story to beat to death. Get them out of our faces PLEASE.
Wow! She ditched him as soon as she got the chance! Wake up Jon! This is what it was all about from the beginning. She waited for this time! Kate had not bad-mouthed you even when you went ahead and said shady stuff about her on national tv. That ho has sold you out on front of your eyes and you still have her back? Come on! I hope you read all the comments and have some clue what is really going on. One more thing, the twitter response you have given for Kate's "Her Story" was so not cool! First you say you want to apologise to her and a minute later you try to stab her again! I am so happy that Kate is strong and the kids have at least one responsible parent. Go cry for Hailey you dumbo!
One more thing, this is for Hailey! Don't you dare talking about the kids and Kate! You are trying to change your image but you are too late! You made your decision as soon as you laid your eyes on this guy. Being with a married guy... and with someone that you and your family all knew was the most disgusting thing ever. But what comes around goes around... you will see!
JON IS SO STUPID HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH KATE
Did anyone else notice how weak Jon is when it comes to women? A 22 year old woman walked all over him and pretty much put him in his place. He moaned and groaned how Kate was controlling and made him feel less of a man... geez, seems to me Hailey is doing the same exact thing. I think he is the kind of person that looks for people to control him, because otherwise he is a very out of control person. He needs to grow up, period. His kids are more mature than he is. I feel bad for Kate, because if this is any indication what life was really like behind closed doors, I cannot blame her for being controlling and overbearing. Heck, someone has to wear the pants in the family!
