The Adam Lambert controversy continues. After his shocking performance on Sunday night at the American Music Awards, the backlash against Lambert has continued. ABC cancelled Lambert's scheduled appearance Wednesday on 'Good Morning America.' No matter, CBS quickly snapped up the singer to perform on 'The Early Show,' as well as a sit down interview to discuss Lambert's performance at the AMAs and his take on the public's reaction.
ABC released a statement about their decision, saying: "Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning." This performance, in case you were unaware, included Lambert simulating oral sex with a dancer as well as kissing a male backup dancer. The performance was edited on the West Coast.
Many were surprised by Lambert's performance. Lambert, on the other hand, has remained unapologetic over it and says that there is a double standard in the industry. Celebrities like Solange Knowles have come to his aid, tweeting that Madonna and Britney Spears were allowed to kiss during the VMAs several years ago and no one cared this much. John Mayer has also weighed in, tweeting: "Lambert: Controversy: man-kiss. Gaffe: pending. Triumph: American Idol Superstar."
Looks like Lambert is getting lots of publicity this week, just in time for his album's release today!
Did ABC do the right thing by dumping Lambert? Or will you just switch channels on watch him on CBS?

Will definitely tune in to CBS to see Adam... I didn't care for the AMA's performance only because the vocals were off...other than that I could care less what he does on stage and it does not bother me at all.
i salute CBS for allowing adam on their show i am sure his fans are delighted. we are only human, we make mistakes and so does adam. i only hope that adam will learn from this. good luck adam hope your albums will sell heaps.
