'American Idol' - Tim Urban performs Elvis Presley on 'Late Show With David Letterman' (VIDEO) - The latest contestant to be voted off the singing competition American Idol, Tim Urban, performed on the Late Show With David Letterman on Monday. He sang "Can't Help Falling in Love," the song made popular by Elvis Presley.

A Dallas, Texas, native, Mr. Urban was the 7th finalist remaining in the competition. His comments from the show's 4 judges were uneven week to week.  Sometimes he was criticized for not knowing who he was as an artist (he is 20).  Other times he was praised for his optimistic attitude on stage. He enjoyed popularity among many female Idol fans.

The judges liked both of his performances for the Elvis Presley-themed week and Beatles week, when he sang a retro-simple rendition of, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand."

Mr. Urban's departure from the show took place at the end of "Idol Gives Back," a special telethon held during the season for charities benefiting American and African causes.

Six contestants remain on Idol, competing for a recording contract.  Past seasons have shown that finalists close to the top also land record deals or find other careers in the entertainment industry such as roles on Broadway or television.

American Idol airs Tuesday night on FOX at 8:00 p.m. ET.
