The new teen vampire novel, Luna's Dream, to be released today

Luna’s Dream, the first book in the Soulstice series based on an upcoming film, is to be released today. Co-authors Lance Dow and Keana Texeira worked the screenplay into a young adult novel that could be the next Twilight.

The book is a journal of a young vampire who is the first of her kind to believe in God. Though it is against the unwritten laws of the vampire society, she writes a journal about her life and her world. She thinks nothing of the human lifestyle but she respects their existence as they are beneficial to each other. She, among most other vampires, feeds off of people without killing them which allows a venom to be injected into those they feed on that makes them healthier. Other than their need for each other, Luna has no deep feelings for humans, that is until she meets someone different. As Luna falls in love with a human boy, she finds her world ripped apart by vampire cheerleaders who seek to take the boy from her and ruin her.

Though the book starts off with a lot of explanation, it still manages to hold the attention of the reader. It is written in the form of the journal so the reader sees into Luna’s thoughts as they follow her story. It is an interesting and fresh idea that will catch on.

This book not only deals with Luna’s story and her struggles as a vampire who believes in God, but it also deals with many of the problems that teens deal with today. The novel helps take these problems and put them outside of the reader, by placing them in a teen vampire’s life, which makes them easier to face and deal with. Readers who like Twilight will definitely enjoy Luna's Dream.

The book and the e-book are both available at http://www.whosluna.com/ on the shop page.

You should check out "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" by Carrie Ryan. It's a young adult romance with zombies, and it's wicked good. The sequel "The Dead-Tossed Waves" just came out, and there's a third book on the way.
