Arthur Klein before Y Yoga Movie screening at Lululemon
Turn a friend or family member on to yoga by taking them to the movies. That’s what a friend of mine did. Okay, he didn’t literally take them to the movies; he loaned them his copy of Y Yoga Movie (Event Horizon Labs; 2008), a documentary that explores why people do yoga.
“I’ve loaned it to ten people and four have started doing yoga,” my friend Oscar proudly told me.
I can understand why. Y Yoga Movie is, to say the least, inspirational.
Yogi and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Arthur Klein spent six years making his motivating documentary. In the 88-minute film, Klein interviews a diverse group of yoga teachers and their students. He sends his camera to Iraq with wrestler/yoga teacher Diamond “Dallas” Page, talks to a policeman/yogi who patrols the streets of Los Angeles and turns the lens on at-risk children who attend yoga classes in school.
In Y Yoga we learn that everybody has their own reason for coming to yoga but why people stay with it has a common denominator: transformation. As an 8-year-old yogi in the film puts it, “When I do yoga I feel like I’m a whole new person.”
Last September, Klein screened his documentary in Las Vegas at Lululemon at the Fashion Show Mall and while in town was interviewed by Ira David Sternberg on Lunchtime with Ira. You can see the interview on the Lunchtime with Ira Web site.

Wow... DK, thank you for your kind words and thank you for sharing Y Yoga Movie with so many friends. I am truly touched that we now have some more free spirits witnessing the living event through their practice of Yoga.
I have begun my next film which is currently title "Big Mind Movie"... The intention is to create a film that does for meditation what Y Yoga Movie does to share yoga.
My hope is that people who become aware of Y Yoga Movie & find that it inspired them to begin a yoga practice; then get a copy of the movie to share with another friend as part of their yoga practice...
This will serve world in at least 2 ways that i can immediately think of...
One, it will get more people practicing this amazing technology which will enhance everything in their lives and Two, it will help to fund "Big Mind Movie" bringing meditation to you and the world.
I have been self funding these projects of Love Light & Peace so all support is honored and appreciated since true happiness is really received from service rather than consumption! I look forward to spreading the word with all of you... what a gift we can give the world!

On the DVD is a full Yoga Class (Audio)...It is one of the amazing classes I filmed during the making of Y Yoga Movie... So if you are inspired u can begin your practice immediately... Just put the DVD in your computer and drag and drop the MP3 of Ally Hamilton's 90 minute master class.
Well yoga definitely transformed (and is transforming) my life. And this movie helped me to see how truly uplifted and spiritual my life has become since...
Namaste
