Jill wasn't playable in the campaign, but she'll at least be in the multiplayer.
For the first time ever in the main storyline of the Resident Evil series, competitive multiplayer will be implemented tomorrow, April 7, 2009 for both the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360, priced at 400 MS points and $4.99 for PS3.
Included in the DLC is "Slayer's Rule," where players are charged to kill the Majini, infected villagers, most likely much like Mercenary Mode but competitively and "Survivor's Rule," which is reportedly a standard versus match.
Available characters are Sheva and Chris, and several secret characters will be available to unlock, two, indicated in the screenshot, appear to be Wesker and Jill Valentine. Up to four players can play in a match, broken into intervals of two. One-on-one matches are also available.
400 MS points seems generous for a DLC that could add a lot more gameplay, but being so close to the release, it seems as if this was purposefully held out opposed to actual DLC. We'll have to wait in seeing how it is implemented, but this does look like a great addition to the game.
