If you desire your own gaming convention follow Tycho and Gabe's example: create your own online video gaming-centric comic, enjoy years of success and then abbreviate your comic's title and use an "X" to designate "Expo," for example Penny Arcade eXpo.  It's that simple.  PAX is Valhalla for gaming dorkdom, but despite gaming companies and developer support, not much in news comes out of the event.  PAX avatar clothing seems to be a big hit this year, as being just introduced on XBOX Live and being given away for free at the event.

One piece of interesting news to surface is Marvel's announcement of new characters for Ultimate Alliance 2.  For those hoping for a Kingdom of Hearts-esque combination of characters now that Marvel is a $4 billion Disney property prepare to be disappointed.  I was hoping for an Ironman Goofy.  Iceman is exclusive for the 360/PS3 versions, while, strangely enough, the Wii receives Cyclops, Psylocke, and Blade as their exclusives.  Come again?  Typically, due to space issues, the Wii loses out in exclusive content to the PS3/360 versions, but this time the reverse is in effect.  Most likely Wii's lack of DLC was the issue and 360/PS3 owners are going to have to pay for the extra characters later down the road.
