Here are five announcements made at Microsoft's E3 press conference:
1. Project Natal: Taking the motion sensor idea even further than Nintendo, a way for the Xbox to detect and use the motions of a player. An example used was the motion of kicking a ball was shown on screen or when writing something on a paper, a digital copy appeared on the screen. Have this conspiciuously good-looking, nuclear family show you:
2. Metal Gear Solid is making its debut on the 360, not as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots but as MGS: Rising, a new title that may star Raiden, as Hideo Kojima of Konami has recently stood aside as the title's director as well as his character Solid Snake. Exclusivity is being disputed.
3. Halo: Reach has been announced, no details provided. Presumably it follows the book "Halo: The Fall of Reach," a novel by Eric Nylund, a prequel to the first Halo game. Not much was revealed in the trailer however the term "Spartans" were used which causes gamers everywhere to explode.
4. Left 4 Dead 2, Forza Motorsport 3, Crackdown 2 and Ballad of Gay Tony, the next GTAIV DLC were announced.
5. Splinter Cell: Conviction and Alan Wake are both alive and kicking.
And not a PC game, but the cinematic for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic MMO for the PC looks fantastic.
