The December issue of Game Informer is reporting that 'Halo Recon' is only a three to five hour long game. This comes as no surprise seeing as it is a 'Halo 3' expansion. The question on 'Halo' fan's minds is "what will this expansion cost me?" Well Game Informer has an answer, sort of. Bungie's Joe Staten said "we do not view this as a $60 title". So hopefully half the game play will only cost half the price and 'Halo Recon' will be 30 bucks when it hits retailers.
On an interesting side note 'Recon' will give gamers the ability to unlock the Recon armor for 'Halo 3', assuming they have completed the Vidmaster challenge achievements. This combined with the 'Halo Wars' map pack thing would make it seem that Microsoft is looking to create a synergetic trinity with 'Halo 3', 'Halo Wars', and 'Halo Recon'.
