A workout to improve your sex life!
If looking like a Hollywood movie star isn’t enough incentive to get you to the gym, maybe the promise of a better sex life is.
Eighty-eight percent of women who exercised five times per week rated themselves as way above average between the sheets, according to a new article in
Fitness magazine.
“By working on all the right muscles, you will boost your energy level, build core strength, and become more flexible,” according to Damon Roxas, national director of training and fitness for
Crunch Fitness, who created the workout described in
Fitness.
One exercise, targeting abs, hip flexors, glutes, quads and calves, is dubbed the “Mountain Climber with Reverse Crunch” and is supposed to improve overall energy. To begin, get in the full push-up position, pull your right knee toward your chest, return to start, then switch legs, keeping abs tight. Continue quickly alternating sides for 30 seconds.
Secondly, lie face up on the floor with your legs extended, your hands behind head, and your feet lifted six inches. Then lift your hips, bringing your knees toward your chest while crunching your upper body toward your knees. Lower. Do 10 to 15 reps and repeat the sequence five times.
This exercise works because “most of us are so exhausted that we find ourselves choosing between sleep and sex on a regular basis,” says
Laura Berman, PhD, author of The Passion Prescription: 10 Weeks to Your Best Sex Ever. With more energy, maybe sleep won’t be the first choice any longer!
