What is the best cat food for your cat?  Well, it’s certainly not cat food.

If they are putting who-knows-what in human food, just imagine what they put in cat food.

The best cat food for your cat is live prey. Fresh mice, small birds, fish, and lizards all make tasty and healthy cat meals.

If your cat is not a hunter, you can buy your cat chicken, fish, or red meat. You can serve it raw or fry it a little, to make it easier to cut up. Your cat will make his preferences known, so expect to experiment a little.

Lucky for us and our furry friends, there are manufacturers who are producing better cat food, dog food and cat litter.

Some pet stores carry these healthier pet foods. One such store, For Other Living Things, is remarkably health conscious.  It is a health food store for pets.  Read the labels and you’ll find no byproducts, no dyes, no artificial colors, no chemical preservatives, and no grain fractions.  Scented or clay cat litter is not sold.  Cat litter at For Other Living Things is all natural corn, wheat, or pine.

If you love your pet, it’s worth the trek to Sunnyvale for at least one visit.  For Other Living Things is independently owned, and customer and pet-friendly.

There is a large area dedicated to pet specific advertising. You can find a dog-walker, groomer, trainer, alternative veterinarian, and pretty much any service you might require for your pet.

But the best resource at For Other Living Things is the woman behind the counter. She is a pet’s best friend.
