Boston goes green in a big way at this year's GreenFest! Featuring live music and events for both the general public and local green businesses this year is looking quite promising.

The Details

The event starts on Wednesday, August 19th with a very cool car show featuring some futuristic looking eco cars in Greenfield, MA. The cars will later make their way to the festival at City Hall Plaza using only one gallon of fuel to get them there.

On August 20th a Green Business Breakfast, by invitation only, will feature green caterers: Boloco and Equal Exchange Cafe.

Boloco will also be serving as the dinner caterer for the free family concert starting at 5pm on Thursday night.

The Festival continues on Friday and Saturday with more free concerts, an eco fashion show, a green jobs seminar, workshops on green energy and sustainable practices will be peppered throughout.

Boston Green Businesses Get Involved

This year's exhibitors include dozens of local green businesses sharing information about their companies, products and services. According to the festival's office website some of the exhibitors slated to attend include:

  • Achieve Renewable Energy, LLC
  • Adros Energy
  • Affirm Water
  • Boston Building Materials Coop
  • Boston Organics
