The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale officially begins tomorrow. Tampa vegans, non-vegans, veg-curious, baked goods-lovers, health-conscious, or just innocent passersby should come down to the Tampa Vegan Bake Sale tomorrow morning at the Ybor City Saturday Market in Centennial Park.
Beginning at 9 am and running until 1 pm, the event will include inexpensive, positively delicious, and completely VEGAN baked goods including cupcakes, cookies, Father’s Day apple pies, and much more. These baked goods are vegan because they will include no eggs and no dairy, so you can take comfort knowing that no animal had to be abused in order for you to enjoy this decadent treat.
Summers in Florida are famous for both their heat, humidity, and their rain, but neither of these things should interfere with the sale. In fact, we will also be selling bottles of water to quench your thirst and wash down your free samples. There will also be free vegan literature being passed out as well.
Proceeds will benefit Florida Voices for Animals, a non-profit based in the Bay area that focuses on giving a voice to those who cannot speak—innocent and mistreated animals. From their website, “Animal abuse takes many forms. Whether it's a sadistic juvenile abusing one dog, or the institutionalized abuse of thousands of animals on factory farms, we must do what we can to stop the cruelty.”
If you can’t make it tomorrow, don’t be upset. There will be another Tampa Vegan Bake Sale next Saturday the 27th: same time, same place.
The Ybor City Saturday Market is located in historic Ybor City’s Centennial Park, on the corner of 8th Ave. and 19th St.
