"A Christmas Carol" debuted on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 with a Bah-Humbug start, earning only a fraction of what it took to create the movie, according to the Los Angeles Times .
A Christmas Carol is rated PG "for scary sequences and images," according to WISTV . A parent needs to use their own judgment, knowing their preschool child, in whether or not to take their child to this movie. The concepts presented may appeal to older viewers.
"A Christmas Carol," a classic, is generally read by older students, although younger versions of picture books have been published.
The movie can be viewed in Disney Digital 3D. It is based on the novel, "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens. Robert Zemeckis helped to write the screenplay and to direct the movie.
The main character is Ebenezer Scrooge, voiced by Jim Carrey. The movie is about Scrooge's experience facing the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
