A great top 10 list from a great rock & roller
"She was black as the night/ Louie was whiter than white." The song lyrics would have been a perfect horror happening if the "she" in the song was a witch or a vampire, but perhaps she was some evil seductress.Only the songwriter knows for sure. Ian Lloyd's band The Stories had a #1 hit with this song "Brother Louie" in 1973. The Stories' other Top 40 tunes included "I'm Comin' Home" (played as an anthem during the return of the Iranian hostages), "Mammy Blue," and "If It Feels Good Do It." The voice of The Stories was Ian Lloyd, who later sang with Foreigner, and other acts through the years.
Ian Lloyd is still rocking with a new CD "In The Land Of O-de-PO," featuring the 2009 GMMA award for Best Rock Track "O-de-PO" and an updated version of the hit "Brother Louie." He will be making a very special guest appearance to promote his new album, and talk about his connection to John Lennon, at the "BEATexpo 2009" convention coming to CT November 28-29 (BEATexpo 2009).

We are proud to present IAN LLOYD's Top 10 HORROR MOVIE FAVES:
1_"Night Of The Living Dead" (original 1968 B&W) Still have trouble watching this movie. It's that Scary!
2_ "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers" (1956 B&W) "They're Here Already" echoes in my head. Kevin McCarthy's defining moment [for me] on this classic.
3_ "Motel Hell" (1980) Rory Calhoun on his tractor is etched in my memory cells forever! Breakfast sausages anyone? So scary there is a remake coming in 2010, which probably won't be as frightening. [Oh
well, we can always hope].
4_ "Nightmare on Elm Street" [1984] Freddy Kruger's coming out party. After seeing this film I vowed never to fall asleep again.
5_ "Aliens" [1979 ] Sigourney Weaver is sooo hot! A must see on the BIG screen. You can never have too many Aliens.
6_ "The Thing" (1982] John Carpenter & Kurt Russell are a winning combo in the remake of this classic. [also see: "Escape from New York"]. One of the scariest aliens yet!
7_ "Terminator" (1984) Arnold Swartzenager is The Terminator. I'm sure the people of California would agree!
8_ "The Shining" [1980] Snowed in for the Winter with Jack Nicholson is scary enough. Add the brilliant writing of Stephen King with Stanley Kubrick's screenplay, and go from there. We'll never forget the
classic line "Here's Johnny!"
