What if you could go back in time and change your bridesmaid dresses, the venue or your guest list?
Would you?
Depending on your marriage situation, many women would opt to only change a couple minor things, especially after going through the experience and learning what works and what doesn’t.
But for young married couples, they are faced with the “what if I had waited” discussion. Would your life be better off now if you waited a couple more years? Would things be different had you matured and grown up a bit before settling down?
Chicago Marriage Examiner’s Marina Mayer sits down with one young bride who says waiting wouldn’t have changed a thing – well except for her hairstyle.
Here is the fourth installment from our interview:
Did you ever wonder how life would’ve been differently had you waited?
Nope.
Well, I guess occasionally, in a “I wonder” type of manner, not a regretful manner. Things might have been better financially and we may have ended up living by one of our parents instead of staying [in the Chicagoland area]. Although we have been sad not being by either of our parents, I think it was a very wise decision for our marriage since it allowed us to truly establish our lives as husband and wife, as grown, married adults, you know, not having our parents around to help us along all the time type of thing.
[However], one of the biggest things I “dream” about would be a much better wedding! We were the first of everyone to get married and since then I have learned SO much about weddings and have seen way cuter ideas! Although I’ll always love my dress, my hair was another story.
