Emil Campbell of Raleigh, N.C., who died suddenly last month, loved cats. In fact, he loved them so much he left his entire $1.7 million estate to four North Carolina cat charities, WRAL-TV reports.

The four charities are: Snowflake Animal Rescue, Marley's Cat Tales, SAFE Haven for Cats and Second Chance Pet Adoptions.

According to his lawyer, Campbell didn’t work at a job that paid a lot of money, but he was frugal and saved his money. A lot of stray and abandoned cats are going  to benefit from that.
