Healthy vegetable garden filled with squash, peppers, herbs, nasturtiums, carrots, sweetpeas, and tomatoes 
Starting this month and January 2010, the master gardeners of Santa Clara County will again be offering their popular Sustainable Vegetable Garden classes in five locations.
Gardening year round in the Bay Area is filled with possibilities but can also come with plenty of questions.  The master gardeners are here to share their expertise and years of experience. They will cover topics such as soil preparation, amendments, fertilizers, crops and varieties that do well in our county; also, you can't learn about sustainable gardening without recognizing and dealing with local pests, weeds and diseases.
Registration is now open for the November 9 class in Sunnyvale.  Register online or call (408) 522-2700.  The other dates and locations are as follows:
