When you think of American Apparel the brand known for "basics" is what comes to mind. This is one company that does every aspect of design, production and marketing all from its headquarters in LA. American Apparel has the largest garment factory in the US, during a time that most garment factories are located in other countries. This is one store that you will find all clothing that says "made in the USA". American Apparel is one of the fastest growing companies especially during 2008 where it grossed more than $545 million in sales. Not only are they helping employ more than 10,000 people worldwide they are also trying to make a difference in the environment by prmoting enviromentally-friendly practices in their day to day activities.
American Apparel does have a target customer, which would be a younger "hipster" crowd of mostly 20 somethings. However, If you are anyone looking for something comfortable, stylist and easy on your wallet this would be the place for you. They sell everything from t-shirts made with organic cotton, all the way to pants and underwear. American Apparel has a very bright future because a lot of people these days are on the environmental band-wagon and want to do anything they can to buy organic, recycled, and at a great price. They have it all, trends, comfort, quality, a large selection at a great price!
