October is Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog month. Each year over four million dogs are killed because of overcrowded shelters. Take some extra time this month to help reduce that number. Of course the best thing you can do to help homeless dogs is to adopt one. If you do not have a place in your life right now for a dog, consider donating money or volunteering at your local animal shelter. If that is not possible,you can still help by simply spreading the word and bringing awareness to the situation. Text, blog, tweet, or use whatever your preferred medium is, to notify friends, family, or anyone who might be interested about Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog month.
