Chris Brown threatened to kill Rihanna

The police report details the horrible assault on Rihanna by Chris Brown.
Chris Brown has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats as a result from his beating of girlfriend Rihanna (real name Robyn Fenty). The altercation happened in Brown's car, as the couple was returning from a party on February 8. The fight started when Rihanna saw a text message on Brown's phone from his former girlfriend. The dispute escalated, and he tried to force her out his car, but her seatbelt prevented this from happening. When he was unsuccessful at pushing her out of the car, he "shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle." (All quotes are from the police report.)
The report then details how Brown punched Rihanna in the left eye, and then continued to punch her in the face as he drove away. Her mouth filled with blood and some of it splattered on her clothing and the car's interior. Brown told Rihanna, "I'm going to beat the s*** out of you when we get home! You wait and see!"
She then tried to call her assistant to tell her to call 911, but the call didn't go through. Brown said, "You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!" He then hit her in the face again, forcing Rihanna to bend down with her hands over her head to protect herself. She tried to send a text message, but Brown snatched the phone out of her hands and threw it out the car window.
When she reached for his phone, he put her in a headlock and bit her left ear. He then pulled over, but kept her in a headlock, almost rendering her unconscious. According to the police report, Rihanna fought back by clawing and kicking him, causing Brown to bite her fingers. When Rihanna was finally free from the car, she screamed for help -- causing a neighbor to dial 911. Brown casually exited the car and walked away.
Rihanna told the LAPD that this was not the first time Brown had been violent, and that she was afraid for her life. With all of these details coming to light, it seems crazy that Rihanna and Chris Brown have been photographed together since the incident. Are they back together?
