Fall means a plethora of seasonal cocktails, and it's time that you learned how to make them at home! From pumpkin to apple, the tastes and smells of the season will warm you up on a cold NYC night. Here are a few recipes to try:
Pumpkin Pie Martini:
Mix the following ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice:
+ 1.5 oz vanilla vodka (or regular vodka)
+ 1 oz pumpkin spice syrup or puree of pumpkin
+ 1/2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
+ a splash of butterscotch schnapps
Shake, then pour into a chilled martini glass. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice on top. For those of you who want the full "pie" effect, rim the glass with crushed graham crackers and lemon juice.
Pumpkin spice latte:
This is a popular coffee drink that can be quite expensive when bought at one of the mainstream coffee shops, but you can make it at home and save money!
Combine the following in a coffee mug:
+ 1-2 shots espresso (based on your intended caffeine intake for the day!)
+ 1/14 oz pumpkin spice flavoring syrup (like Monin Pumpkin Spice flavored syrup)
Fill the rest of the cup with steamed milk and then top with whipped cream. Sprinkle on some nutmeg or cinnamon, and you've got an inexpensive fall beverage!
