Tonight is the last scheduled night game at Shea Stadium, the home of the New York Mets. Saturday and Sunday are day games (starting at 1:10), but there's nothing like a cool night at a ballgame in Queens. The beer may be overpriced, and the food isn't 5 star, but it's still a fantastic way to spend your night in New York. Who doesn't like singing "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" while eating your peanuts and crackerjacks.

Shea Stadium has been the home of the New York Mets since 1964. Construction of the new stadium will be complete and will serve as the new home for the team starting at the beginning of next season.

Don't worry if you didn't get to witness tonight's game at Shea -- if the Mets get into the post season, you'll have more opportunities. Right now they are tied with the Milwaukee Brewers for the wildcard, but the Mets are only one game behind the Philadelphia Phillies for the National League East win. So, New Yorkers, keep your fingers crossed that the Mets win tonight at home, and you'll have more time to savor Shea Stadium in the post season.
