Apple cider vinegar has been a medicinal remedy for centuries. It has been used as an antibiotic, to assist in increasing power and strength, as well as to prevent gastric upset. It has been known as a purifying agent as well as a powerful detoxifier. It breaks down mucous in the body and improves the function of vital organs.

In the 1950's Dr. D.C. Jarvis wrote a book on nature's secret remedy's, called Folk Medicine. In this book he talked about the health benefits of apple cider vinegar, including how it can alleviate migraines, sore throats, and nausia.

In the 70's, apple cider vinegar was said to assist in losing weight by mixing it with kelp and other vitiamins.  Today, drinking 1 to 3 teaspons before each meal is said to help metabolize fat and curb food cravings. This is known as the apple cider vinegar diet.

You might have a difficult time getting the apple cider vinegar down at first, so start off with one teaspoon and work your way up.  If you still can not take the apple cider vinegar alone, try mixing it in water.  For sore throats, try mixing it with honey.  Eventually, you will find that it becomes part of your daily routine.

If you still have a difficult time getting it down, try drizzling it over your salad, or adding cinnamon.  Be creative.

It might just be true that an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Who know they were talking about apple cider vinegar?
