Happy Hanukkah to all of my Jewish friends out there in Palm Beach County and beyond.

I decided to focus on holiday themed events today.  Get out and have some fun but don't forget to take  time out of your busy schedule to donate some toys, food or home goods to the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Red Cross or other organizations that are helping the needy this season.

Bradley Park - East of the Flagler Memorial (north) Bridge, Palm Beach - will be lighting their 6-foot Menorah tonight at 5:30 p.m.  The festivities will begin with children's entertainment and activities followed by the lighting ceremony with town dignitaries in the park.  Music and refreshments will follow.  Open to the public and free.

Royal Palm Place - 302 S. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton - is holding their Chanukah Celebration featuring the Amazing Bottle Dancers, a nationwide company of Jewish dance troupes that perform the traditional Eastern European and Russian folk dances.  A Car Menorah Parade will leave Chabad of Boca Raton - 17950 Military Trail - at 5 p.m. To participate call 561-994-6257.  Come see these great dancers and this beautiful parade for free. Parade at 5 p.m.; Dancers at 6 p.m.

Keep in the holiday spirit at the Holiday Evening Tours of the Flagler Museum - 1 Whitehall Way, Palm Beach.  This after-hours guided tour of Whitehall will invite visitors to learn about holiday traditions and to see the property by the glow of the original 1902 light fixtures.  Every visitor receives a traditional Christmas cracker following the tour.  A choral group will sing Christmas carols while holiday refreshments are served.  Finish shopping for your holiday list at the Museum Gift Store.  7 p.m. Tickets $25.

Enjoy your holiday and have a great Monday!

More events to come tomorrow. And don't forget to plan your New Year's with the Palm beach County New Year's Eve Events Guide: http://www.examiner.com/x-965-Palm-Beach-County-Events-Examiner~y2008m12d17-New-Years-Eve-Events-for-Palm-Beach-County.
