CityPlace in West Palm Beach transforms every evening into a winter wonderland with hourly snowfalls, and the property is asking visitors to capture it all digitally and enter it online in the Snow at CityPlace YouTube Video Competition. The contest winner will receive a $250 CityPlace Gift Card! Submissions will be accepted until December 31st and the winner will be announced the first week of January 2009. Submissions can be creative but MUST display snow falling on CityPlace and should run about 10-30 seconds. To enter - upload your clip to www.youtube.com and then send the link to info@cityplace.com with "YouTube Snow Submission" in the subject link. Once your video is approved for content it will appear on cityplace.com.

The Crest Theatre at Old School Square - 51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach - will be the proud home of the Ballroom Dancing World Champion Tour 2008. Ten world champion dancers and two vocalists will showcase every ballroom dance style. Tickets are $45. Friday & Saturday 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sunday 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Palm Beach Dramaworks - 322 Banyan Blvd., West Palm Beach - is excited to open Eugene Ionesco's The Chair tonight. The concept is how people might behave if they've figured out the meaning of life after a hideous cataclysm has carried off the rest of the world. $40 and $42 for tickets. If you enjoyed The Triplets of Belleville, you will love Azur and Asmar: The Prince's Quest. This French animation film is getting rave reviews, and even better, it is family-friendly and perfect for the holidays. Today is Sugar Sand Park's Holiday Fun-Tacular: Kid's Night In, Parents Night Out. Kids will enjoy Explorium activities, pizza, popcorn, games and cartoons while you shop, wrap gifts or just take some time for yourself. Children must be in grades 1-5 to participate. With the Hanukkah starting this Sunday and Christmas and Kwanzaa right around the corner, the Boca Raton Boat Parade is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. Come to Red Reef Park - 1400 N. Art Rx is a locally acclaimed art exhibition that combines new and established artists. They have joined forced with Debuton and Sole of Art, two other local art and culture events, to present ART 500. Held tonight at 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Clematis Street, ART 500 will feature fine art exhibitions, live music and paint demonstrations, plus music, food and retail vendors. Shop for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts as local artists and designers will be setting up shop to sell art, hand-crafted jewelry, clothing and accessories. Local radio station 103.1 The Buzz will be collecting for their Toys for Tots toy drive (bring an unwrapped toy!) and Randy Razor will host a live auction for her painting. Seven Mary Three was definitely on at least one of my mix cds back when I was in high school in the early 90's. They are still playing and touring and their new stuff is better than ever. The Delray Beach International Tennis Tournament Championships (ITC) will be holding their "Making A Racquet" CD Launch Party at City Limits tonight at 8 p.m. Featured performers include The Resolvers, Jacob Jeffries Band, Coexist Science and DJ Crunchtime - all winners of the 2008 "Making A Racquet" music search. Everyone knows the story of the Nutcracker but tonight at 8 p.m. Palm Beach Community College Eissey Campus Theatre is presenting The Mixed Nut(Cracker) - a modern retelling of the classic story. In this interpretation Clara receives her first pair of pointe shoes instead of a nutcracker and this gift sets her off on a quest to become the best dancer in New York City. In honor of the holiday today, the Kravis Center is presenting Brad Zimmerman's My Son The Waiter, A Jewish Tragedy. This comedy weaves the tale of one man's lengthy struggle to make it as an actor in New York. The show is one part stand-up, one part theatre and completely hilarious. If you want to hear some amazing music today check out the Bluegrass Jam Music Session at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park - 10900 State Rd. 703, North Palm Beach. Bill Rich and other musicians bring their foot-stomping and hand-clapping bluegrass music to the park's amphitheater. Visitors are encourages to bring acoustic stringed instruments and join in or just sit back and enjoy the fun.
