Enjoy a relaxing massage during spa week
Hopefully you got out over the weekend and went to Oktoberfest or the Downtown Delray Art Fair. Maybe you made it to Fright Nights or one of the area's many Halloween events (http://www.examiner.com/x-965-Palm-Beach-County-Events-Examiner~y2008m10d9-Calling-all-ghouls-ghosts-and-goblins--eat-drink-and-be-scary-this-Halloween-in-Palm-Beach-County). Perhaps you even came and partied the night away at my personal Annual BeerFest Party Saturday night. Whatever you chose, you are probably dragging your feet today.
Never fear! I have the perfect event to melt away your stress, anxieties and weekend hangover. Today marks the start of Spa Week. This national event takes place once a year with great discounts at local spas on massages, facials and even "green" treatments from today until October 19. See below the list of today's events for participating locations in Palm Beach County.
Before I get to that, there are a few events taking place tonight that I am sure you won't want to miss:
Tonight at 7 p.m. is Family Pajama Storytime at the Boca Raton Public Library - 200 NW Boca Raton Blvd., Boca Raton. Come in your jammies and listen to great stories with interactive parts for the audience as well. Cuddle up in the cozy corner for the best seat in the house.
From 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. tonight you can try your luck at a hand of Poker at Coffee District's Monday Night Poker. Located at 325 NE 2nd Avenue, Delray Beach, Coffee District offers a no-limit Texas Hold'em Tournament every week. Whether you are a professional or betting on beginners luck this is a fun night in a laid back atmosphere. If you don't play you can also come in, hang out and watch the games for only the price of a cup of coffee!
Also in Delray Beach tonight is The Gong Show at Dada - 52 N Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach. The fun starts at 9:30 p.m. Register early and get your seats - this event has been standing room only lately. The acts are getting crazier and the good times go all night long. If you don't want to listen to the terrible talent mixed in with the good ones (although come on, the bad acts are always more fun!) you can hideaway in the private movie room in back where you can play any one of their hundreds of DVDs on the large projection screen.
Saba Sushi Bar & Lounge - 499 S. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton - is holding a College Hour tonight. Come in and enjoy all-you-can-eat sushi rolls and all the draft beer and sake you can drink from 7-11 p.m. for only $20. This is a popular hangout for students from FAU and Lynn University but all are welcome. The crowd is usually low key and up for a good time.
