Like everyone else in the world, country singer Taylor Swift is ready to move past the now infamous 'Kanye West-interruption' incident.
On Friday (September 18) Swift was scheduled to do numerous radio phone interviews. First up, Tampa Bay's WFLZ-FM morning show host Todd "MJ" Schnitt.
While the country-music sweetheart has been the No. 1 news item since Sunday -when West interrupted her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech insisting Beyonce should've won over Swift- Kanye West was not on the interview question list.
Ignoring the warning from Swift's record label, MJ immediately says, "Let's just get the Kanye West thing out of the way here."
Swift replied: "I think the outpouring of love is what I'm trying to focus on....Getting flowers from Janet Jackson is something I'd never thought would happen in my life."
MJ then asked Swift exactly what happened. She replied, "It was definitely a very exciting night....It happened on TV and everyone saw what happened....I guess I'd just like to move on a little bit."
Once again ignoring her, MJ says her already skyrocketing career was given another boost from the MTV/ Kanye incident. Swift said: "I think that maybe we should probably talk about something else."
MJ: "It's good for your career though."
Swift: "I really would like to move on. I've asked you three times now."
MJ: "One more question and I promise I'll move on."
MJ wasn't given an opportunity to move on. Taylor immediately got off the line and then someone from her label stepped in to thank the host.
Good for Taylor!
